RULES OF THE GAME

Rink hockey is a team sport that is played indoors (rink) where two teams of five players, including a goalkeeper, compete (plus five substitutes including a goalkeeper team). The goal of the game is to bring the ball into the opponent's goal. The team that scored the most goals is the winner. For playing the player is equipped with one stick and roller skates. A match is played over 2 half-times of 20 minutes for the adults. In case of draw, two extensions of 5 minutes will take place (golden goal), followed by penalty shots.

 

PENALTIES

 

Rink hockey has many rules of play and prohibitions. Among these, it is forbidden to:

  • touch the ball with the skate or any other part of the body

 

  • lack of respect towards officials, players or the public

  • jostling, pushing, holding, hooking an adversaire

  • play in the ground

  • return the ball to its own defence zone for more than 5 seconds (return to the zone)

  • take more than 10 seconds between taking

  • of ball and entry into the attack zone

  • take more than 45 seconds between taking the ball and a shot on the opposing goal

  • any type of anti-game, lift the ball over 1.50m

 

 

THESE FAULTS ARE SANCTIONED ACCORDING TO THEIR GENDER OR THEIR GRAVITY BY:

 

 

  • an indirect free kick (can be played anywhere on the court)

  • a direct free kick (shooting or dribbling from the direct free kick point)

  • a penalty (shot from the penalty spot)

  • a team foul (a direct free kick is awarded to the tenth team foul and every 5 subsequent team fouls)

  • a blue card (two minutes suspension for the sanctioned player, the suspended team plays three for two minutes or until it cashes a goal)

  • a red card (expulsion of the sanctioned player, the offending team plays three for four minutes or until a goal is conceded).

 

AT THE NATIONS CUP, THE FOLLOWING RULES WILL BE APPLIED:

 

Victory: 3 points

Draw: 1 point

Defeat: 0 point

 

 

QUALIFICATION MATCHES

 

  • In case of a tie, the standings will be based on the goal difference

  • There will be no extra time or goal shot

 

SEMIFINALS AND FINALS

  • In the case of a tie at the end of the match, 2x5 minutes of extra-time and  penalty shoot-out in the case of a tie

  • Penalty shoot-out: 5 shots per team and if still tied 1 shot per team until there is a difference.
